Authentic You Media had a chance to catch up with busy actress Simona Brhlikova to get her thoughts on what it means to be authentic. As a Hollywood actress, staying true to yourself can be exceptionally challenging but Simona has managed to remain authentic in a world where you’re encouraged to be anything but. Simona has starred alongside some of the Hollywood greats like Wesley Snipes in her recent film project, Gallowwalker. To read more about Simona and her incredible accomplishments (has lived with Eskimos in Alaska and even speaks 7 languages!), go to www.imdb.com/name/nm1971501/bio
Authentic You Media: In your own words, what does it mean to be authentic?
Simona: …to be YOU in the truest sense. To not be afraid to unpeel all the layers that we put on for society and let the real essence – our core shine. That’s authentic, unique, REAL!
October 2014: Time to Re-Imagine/Re-Vision Our Life
Ah, October, the time of changing leaves, cooler temperatures, shorter days/longer nights and this year Mercury retrograde and Lunar and Solar eclipses! The fun begins October 4 when Mercury, planet of communication, the mind, and short distance travel moves into retrograde motion. Many of you have heard about this tiny planet and the havoc that can ensue when it changes direction, but what you might not know is that during a retrograde we have the opportunity to look deep within ourselves and make critical adjustments to our “vision” of ourselves. It can be the perfect time to re-imagine and re-envision our lives. October’s Mercury retrograde begins at 2° Scorpio, a deeply passionate, intense and intuitive water sign and moves backwards to 16° Libra, a balance-seeking, and relationship-oriented sign. This retrograde becomes an important part of the astrology for the autumn as Mercury sets the stage for the total Lunar Eclipse visible for us in the Western third of the country.
A new learning series has just begun! The series is “Eat Right for Your Spiritual Type”. Each segment will include one of the spiritual types and a fun recipe to raise their vibration for their spiritual gifts to the world.
I organized the spiritual types into 9 main categories. Each Spiritual Type is symbolized a different fruit. This is just a sneak peak. We will discuss the types in depth at a later time.
LIMES – Spiritual Teachers (Pastors, Motivational Speakers, etc.)
APPLES – Humanitarians (Help the world on large scale sav)ing the dolphins or mankind…you get the idea)
BLUEBERRIES – Intuitives ( Psychics, Mediums, Prophetics)
ORANGES – Artists, Musicians
STRAWBERRIES – Movement ( yoga, dance, trainers)
WATERMELON – Caretakers ( one on one care)
KIWIS – Writers (combination of more than one type)
GRAPES – Organizers ( behind the scenes, big picture, support)
HUCKLEBERRY – Healers, Light Workers, massage therapists, counselors, therapists
Soulicious by Raquel is at it again! We just finished filming the 2nd segment in our learning series. The series is Eat Right for Your Spiritual Type. We will be releasing this video soon!
I had fun making one of my favorite comfort foods, Caldo de Pollo, Mexican Chicken Soup. When you make this recipe at home, don’t forget to prep yourself and your kitchen. Find your happy place and put that happy place into your food!
I also recommend placing some great crystals or stones in your kitchen. I like Rose Quartz but use whatever resonates with you. Also, I recommend saging your kitchen or burn some Palo Santo before you begin. Your kitchen will love you for it!
I made the Caldo de Pollo specifically for the spiritual type: Limes. These are the spiritual teachers. They include pastors, reverends, motivational speakers and instructors. This group needs to have a strong voice and excel at being understood.
